I enjoyed the idea behind this game, but here're some things that stopped me from playing any further:

- I think that the punishment for death is far too severe. It's enough that tougher enemies spawn and you lose a chance to fight equally matched opponents. To lose EXP on top of that is just frustrating and makes it far more difficult to fight next-day enemies.

- The game feels too decentralized. Wasn't sure what the point of it was after the tutorial. I got the impression that this is a survival game, but even then, some sense of direction would be nice.

- Although I like that you've added weight to the player's rotation, it's too unresponsive for a tight gameplay experience. Maybe reduce the easing factor so that the player rotates more quickly?

Anyways, again, I really like the idea behind this game. With some more polishing and a bit more depth, I would probably play it for a good amount of time :)

This game seemed interesting enough, but it doesn't really come together nicely as so. Using heartbeat sounds to guide the player wasn't so effective, because it was hard to navigate through the invisible maze and follow the sound at the same time. Having the maze be invisible also ended up frustrating me, because it got boring having to remember where each wall is. It wasn't a fun game altogether, with nothing pushing me to keep playing.

There's not much to review here. The game involves a lot of clicking and guessing where to click. That's all. I understand this is your first flash game uploaded to Newgrounds, and you spent quite a bit of time on it, but that doesn't mean you had to upload it. If you are telling yourself that your game is garbage, then you should understand that's what some people might view it as well.

It's not garbage. It's a good first flash game, and I'm glad you've shown interest in using Flash, but this work isn't really something lots of people would enjoy to play. I know this review might discourage you, and that's fine. If you're dedicated enough to keep improving, you won't be seeing this again.

What's good about this game is that it's fun to play while still having replay value with it's procedurally generated levels. Highscores will also keep people playing here and there, which is another plus. The "8-Bit" styled graphics suit the game well, and sounds and music compliment it.

One problem with the game I found, however, had to do with the level generation. The starting level was fun and somewhat challenging, which is a good sign for a first level. The problem was, the second level became really hard suddenly, and you'd introduced too many new items in the game at once (Breaking floors, negative coins, etc). That's ignorable, but then there were times when I would have only one small platform to jump on with a skull on it. That leaves a tiny space for me to land on, and made the game a bit frustrating.

Overall, I like the game and the concept, but it could use some tweaking in level generation. Good work.

To start with the pros, I have to say the art and animation present was good. There's a lot of detail in both, and it gives the game a nice feel. Also, having the ability to use multiple weapons is cool.

I have to say, though, I feel this game is terribly flawed in terms of gameplay. It's way too difficult. I managed up to the ogre fight, where I just stopped playing. I couldn't keep going, because I was limited to clicking and hoping that my characters animation would end up slow or fast enough to dodge his attacks. There's such little control.

I understand this is a point and click game. The genre by itself suggests little control over character. However, don't put players in a situation where they have to act fast, when all they can do is click on one of two places and hope for the best. That's just unfair and frustrating.

Little cons I could also call out would be the music and giving players rewards for dying. The music could have been better, but it was fine. The rewards for dying got annoying, as I felt the game was more of a death simulator than an adventure.

OH MY GOD!

All the memories :D

AAAAAHHHH! LOOOL

OK, It's a great game and all.

BUT HOLY SHIT!

OK guys, I dare you to upgrade your heart rate, you'll get the most awesome thing ever xD

Man this stuff helps :D

I decided to read this whole thing in a time span of two days. Now my head hurts. But there's more! This helped me get a head start in Flash and gave me a boost with the "Beyond the Basics" section. Everything was really great! Kudos, man :)

Addicting

I really love the simple mechanics of the game + the customization :D It's really too bad you submitted it at a bad time (too early, me thinks :P)

A bit unoriginal

I've played lots of games like this on Newgrounds, but almost all of them are a lot better than this. I felt that the story was, at least for me, very cheesy. It didn't seem that it was well thought out at all, to tell you the truth. It was very mediocre. I felt that all the events that took place happened too fast; there's not even one sign of why he had to kill her, or why it was all happening near his house, so the "plot" had a huge gap in it. The ending was also very predictable. 3/10, 1/5.

So much to type, where do I begin? 255 character limit? That's not enough space! I need more space! Well, where do I begin? Do I just type down my life story? As in, birth, childhood, stuff like that? I can't really tell. Well, I guess it all started when
